New Features

• The new nova::cell_worker_thread_pool_size parameter has been added.

• The following parameters have been added to the nova::key_manager::barbican class.

• The new nova::key_manager::barbican::service_user::timeout parameter has been added.

• The nova class now has two new parameters rabbit_use_queue_manager and rabbit_stream_fanout.

• The nova::keystone::auth class now adds the service role by default. Set the roles parameter not to add the role.

Upgrade Notes

• The nova::auth_strategy parameter has been removed.

• The ipa_hostname fact has been removed. This was used by novajoin support which was already removed.

• The nova::patch::config class has been removed.

• Puppet 7 is no longer supported. Use Puppet 8 instead.

• The nova::rabbit_heartbeat_in_pthread parameter has been removed.

• The nova::compute::rbd::rbd_keyring parameter has been removed.

• The nova::logging::watch_log_file parameter has been removed.

Deprecation Notes

• The nova::compute::libvirt::num_memory_encrypted_guests parameter has been deprecated and will be removed in a future release.

• The following parmaeters have been deprecated and have no effect now.
